Charles William Glover


Charles Glover 1Charles William Glover (1806-1863) was an English violinist and composer.
Born in London in February 1806, he played violin in the orchestras of Drury Lane and Covent Garden, and was appointed musical director at the Queen's Theatre in 1832. He composed numerous songs, duets, pianoforte pieces, and arrangements.
Glover is credited with writing the music for "The Rose of Tralee".
