Borris is a small town (population c1200) in south County Carlow. The MacMurrough Kavanagh dynasty (former Kings of Leinster) still live at Borris House which is open for historic tours, weddings and selected cultural events. The traditional Borris Fair takes place annually in the town center on 15th August.
